Ever wondered how many calories were in the Moist Maker?! What about the amount of protein in Rachel’s beef trifle? No, us neither, but it’s just a bit of fun….

Love or hate it, the Friends reunion is trending, and the team at Myprotein took it all a bit too seriously by working out the macros in the top five most famous Friends dishes –https://www.myprotein.com/thezone/nutrition/macros-for-iconic-friends-dishes/

Myprotein has done some thorough recipe research and found that:

  • One serving of Rachel’s beef trifle has 881 calories, 44.7g of protein, 10.7g of fat and 132.3g of carbs in it
  • The Moist Maker (aka carb loader!) has 988 calories, 31.5g of protein, 47.7g of fat and 148.2g of carbs per sandwich
  • And the Joey Special contains 1,296 calories, 64g of protein, 80.6g of fat and 81.1g of carbs per pizza
  • Monica’s turkey dinner has: 352 calories, 26.3g of protein, 9.6g of fat and 45g of carbs
  • Whilst the infamous New York cheesecake, per slice, contains: 707 calories, 0g of protein, 29g of fat and 62g of carbs

Liam Agnew, nutritionist at Myprotein, commented on the findings:

“Following a workout, a 20-25g dose of a high-quality protein source is enough to maximally stimulate muscle protein synthesis for most people. This will allow you to recover properly and enhance the muscle building process.

In the case of the Joey Special, this has 64g worth of protein in just one pizza, however, it’s been suggested that you don’t need any more than the 20-25g as excess amino acids are excreted in the urine or used for other bodily processes.”
