Welsh Water Apprentice Wins Award at the Quality Skills Apprenticeship Awards

A Welsh Water employee has won Construction Apprentice of the Year at the Cardiff and Vale College Quality Skills Apprenticeship Awards for her outstanding attitude to her studies

Welsh Water’s Project Support Officer, Leah Emery, has been named construction apprentice of the year at QSA Apprenticeship Awards.  The awards celebrate the success of standout apprentices from across the Quality Skills Alliance, and inspirational employers who work hard to provide the best apprenticeship experience for learners.

Welsh Water, which is the only not-for-profit utilities provider in Wales and England, prides itself on its comprehensive apprenticeship programme which spans across all areas of the business and is a viable route into a plethora of different careers and specialisms. 

Speaking of her win, Leah Emery said:

“It feels amazing to have my hard work recognised. I am so thankful for Welsh Water giving me this opportunity to work towards a career that I love. Welsh Water has been a massive support network for me during both my studies and general work, ensuring I have the time to complete college work and also providing me with support and advice on college work or NVQ questions.”
