New research has revealed that Google searches for the perfect outdoor viewing setup have increased 59% since January coinciding with Euro 2021 starting this month
This is in stark contrast to searches for holidays which have increased by just 1% in the same period despite restrictions easing and the introduction of a traffic light system allowing more flexibility
- Searches for ‘Outdoor TV’s’ have increased by 1,275% from January to May as Brits look for the perfect telly to catch the football
- Outdoor Heaters have seen an 83% increase as we’re all very aware that a UK summer doesn’t always equal sun!
- There was also a 50% increase in searches for Garden Furniture and BBQs as we can start to welcome guests to our homes
Flight searches stall
- Holiday searches have increased by just 1% since January, despite the recent introduction of the Government’s traffic light system
- Specific searches including the word ‘flights’ have dropped by 19% as Brits seem reluctant to go abroad
- On the other hand, ‘weekend breaks for couples’ has increased by 171% – let’s just hope it’s not the weekend England are playing!
