Cardiac Monitor PPH - Nadine Hughes RN, Travis Davies RN, Chelsea Cook

Hywel Dda Health Charities has purchased a cardiac monitor for patients at Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli, thanks to donations.

The portable cardiac monitor will be used to help maintain patient safety during transfers to other hospitals for cardiac investigations, procedures and interventions.

Senior Sister Sian Azjan said the new machine was very compact and user-friendly, with a touch screen.

“We are very thankful for the kind donations that have made the purchase of this cardiac monitor possible,” added Sian. “It is an excellent piece of equipment, used to monitor patients when they have to travel between hospitals.”
