The Castle, managed by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, will come to life with three sparkling productions this July and August, including The Great Gatsby, a Dick Barton Special Agent production, and David Walliams’ Mr Stink. Booking is essential at www.carewcastle.com.

Red Herring Theatre returns to Carew Castle from Monday 2 August to Friday 6 August to present the hilarious family-friendly madcap comedy, Dick Barton: Flight of the Phoenix. Special Agent Barton, of the BBC’s 1940s radio serial, takes to the stage in his most death-defying adventure yet. Will Dick’s courage finally crack and his stiff upper lip tremble with fear when he meets the fiendishly fearsome Mr Huge? £12 adult, £10 concession, £8 child, £35 family (two adults, two children). Doors open 6pm, show starts 7pm.

On Tuesday 24 August, David Walliams’ humorous and heart-warming best seller Mr Stink is brought to the stage for ages 7+ by Heartbreak Productions. Chloe’s smelly new friend, Mr Stink, is not welcome to a tenth birthday party organised by everyone’s favourite MP candidate, Janet Crumb.

Doors open 5.45pm, show starts at 6.30pm. Ice cream will be available.

As well as a low-backed chair or rug, please bring warm clothes, a torch and a picnic if desired. Hot drinks are available to purchase.
