Manchester based Ryan Felix and two friends are set to spend a whole 24 hours paddle boarding from the River Dee in Wales all the way to the Sea in aid of the incredible Children’s support charity, Winston’s Wish.
After losing his father at a very young age, Ryan Felix wants to do all he can to help the charity that helped him at one of the most challenging points in his life.
After travelling around the world, living in several different countries for the last 5 and half years, Felix returns back to UK to focus on giving value to as many people possible through his business, Altbe. Altbe are an alternative business training provider who provides engaging and authentic residential trips to encourage business owners to take a step out of their comfort zones to dig deeper in their emotions and capabilities. The trips last around 4-5 days and provide alternative education methods for executives to transform their mindsets.
Constantly seeking adventure and new challenges, Ryan wanted to push his own physical and mental boundaries to see what he was capable of achieveing.
It is hoped this unique approach to fundraising will capture the attention of many and build awareness for Winston’s wish as well as funding for them to continue to provide the brilliant, life changing services they do.
When speaking with the Associate Director of Fundraising at Winston’s Wish, Paul Moore, he stated:
“Ryan’s story is just one of thousand’s but it brings to life the long-term impact of our support on the lives of grieving children. We know the coming months will bring a host of challenges as we step up to become the frontline of tomorrow to support those bereaved as a result of the pandemic. It’s thanks to people like Ryan that we can be sure we’ll be there for every child who needs our help, when they need it most and that’s why we’re incredibly grateful to him for taking on such an epic challenge to raise vital funds for Winston’s Wish.”
