A catchy soundtrack is a vital component of any good movie montage; something that will set the scene and stay stuck in your head. And when you hear that song weeks, months or even years later, it’ll instantly make you think of that montage.
Myprotein analysed 35 of the most iconic movie training montages of all time, from Rocky and the Karate Kid to Kung Fu Panda and the Incredibles, looking at the songs featured in each and which has been streamed the most on Spotify.
Hungry Eyes took the top spot, with over 236 plays on Spotify, followed by Fitz and The Tantrums’ “HandClap”, from Power Rangers, with 215 million plays. Donny Osmond’s “I’ll Make a Man Out of You”, from Mulan, came in a close third, with nearly 200 million plays.
