Tristan Jenkins Ammanfordâs paceman helped his team to a 4-3 home win over fellow JD Cymru South league rivals Briton Ferry Llansawel. Tristan Jenkins scored a hat trick of goals in this highly competitive game but more importantly got the dramatic winning goal in the 90th minute.
Ammanford had come back from being three one down to four three winners which sent the team, bench and the black and white army into joyous celebrations.
Ammanford dominated possession in the first half of this game but found themselves falling behind to a penalty kick converted by Liam McCreesh and on 45 minutes fell further behind to a well taken goal by Steve Davey. In stoppage time Jenkins pulled a goal back for the home side.
The second half saw Briton Ferry Llansawel pull away when the unfortunate Ammanford full back Mat Jones put through his own goal. It wasnât long before Jenkins got his second goal to reduce the deficit. Two red cards soon followed for Woods of Briton Ferry Llansawel and Ammanfordâs Kai Whitmore. Both teams reorganised but Ammanford looked the stronger and it was Ammanfordâs central defender Lee Bevan who struck an equaliser for the home team 3-3
Both Goalkeepers, McFenton for Ferry and Morris made good saves but enter man of the match Tristan Jenkins to pop with that all important late winner!
