Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats Jane Dodds MS has responded to the latest figures which show that the number of people on waiting lists for non-urgent hospital treatment in Wales have again hit record levels at 624,909 people in June.
Commenting, Jane Dodds MS said:
“I welcome the additional funding that has been made available, but we cannot continue with our NHS and care services bouncing from winter to winter, crisis to crisis. Health and care workers are facing burnout and face a difficult period ahead. They need the confidence that there’s a long-term plan for our NHS to get to grips with the problems that affected our NHS long before COVID.”
