Family with love of books urges children to join Summer Reading Challenge

A Fishguard mum is encouraging other Pembrokeshire families to become part of the Summer Reading Challenge at local libraries.

Natalie Morgan-Davies’ sons Rhys and Osian are big fans of the challenge to read six books over the summer holidays.

The family have been regular visitors to Fishguard library to stock up on books for the summer.

Natalie said: “Rhys and Osian love visiting the library as there is always a great selection of books.

“They especially look forward to the Summer Reading Challenge, which is available to all children of all reading abilities.

“It encourages them to read books during the summer holidays in order to complete the challenge and gain a certificate and sticker.”

And there’s still time for children to become a Wild World Hero as part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. Just visit one of Pembrokeshire County Council’s libraries to register or sign up online.

The Wild World Heroes theme in assocation with WWF aims to inspire children to learn all about the natural environment and discover ways to help save the planet.
