Travel & vaccination: 24% of Britons and 27% of Americans would prefer traveling to places with good vaccination rates

With vaccinations in full swing, people in numerous countries are returning to their pre-COVID lives, including resuming their holiday plans and travels. Piplsay, a global consumer research platform, polled 9,300 Britons and 28,000 Americans to understand their travel plans and changing preferences and attitudes amid the delta surge.

Traveling with caution: What are people planning?

  • 22% of Britons plan to go ahead with their vacation this year despite the delta variant surge; 31% are reworking their plans
  • 23% of Britons would prefer staying in cottages and villas while on vacation, followed by big hotel chains or resorts (18%)
  • 45% of Americans plan to avoid crowded places and public transport while on holiday this year; 71% plan on getting themselves tested upon returning
