Five men arrested as part of operation to tackle the supply of Class A drugs

On Monday September 6, officers from Tarian, the Regional Organised Crime Unit for southern Wales, supported by officers from South Wales and Dyfed Powys Police, executed a number of warrants at addresses across Cardiff, Swansea and Lampeter as part of an ongoing operation to tackle the supply of Class A drugs in southern Wales.

During searches officers recovered:

  • Approximately £100,000 cash
  • Around 1000 cannabis plants
  • 55kg of cannabis
  • 1kg of cocaine
  • Paraphernalia including cash counting machines and industrial weighing scales.

Five people were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and taken to Queen’s Road police station in Bridgend for questioning.

They include:

  • A 37-year-old man from Penlylan, Cardiff
  • A 33 -year-old man from Roath, Cardiff
  • A 49 -year-old man from Cilcennin, Ceredigion
  • Two 32 -year-old men from Waunarlwydd, Swansea
