A hospital health support worker from Carmarthen is braving the Big Thank You NHS Skydive on 25th September to raise money for Dewi ward at Glangwili Hospital, where he works.
Dorian James said: “Dewi ward has given me amazing opportunities and taught me so much over the last year, so I want to show my appreciation and give something back.
“Any money I raise will go towards equipment for Dewi ward to help patients on the road to recovery.
“I began working on this ward at the start of the pandemic and, during this time, I’ve seen the greatest examples of human endeavour, kindness, selflessness and dedication, from staff and patients alike.”
Dorian will be doing his skydive at Swansea Airport and you can support him at http://www.justgiving.com/Anton-James1.
Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said they were so grateful to the many local NHS staff who fundraise to help their patients and colleagues.
