Legendary music mogul – ALAN McGEE – will be appearing at MONMOUTH’S SAVOY THEATRE for a very special Oasis-themed Q&A show.
Taking place on the 2nd October, the event will mark exactly 26 years to-the-day since Oasis released their landmark album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’. The album, which was notably recorded at Monmouth’s own Rockfield Studios, went on to sell a record-breaking 345,000 copies in its first week alone upon its release in 1995 and spent a further 10 weeks at the number one spot.
As the man who famously signed Oasis to his infamous Creation Records label, ‘An Evening With… Alan McGee’ will see Alan returning to Monmouth to discuss the album in-depth before taking questions from the audience.
Hosted by The Oasis Podcast, the night promises to be a celebration of that classic album that gave the world “Wonderwall”, “Champagne Supernova”, “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and more, and its legacy all these years later.
Adding to the occasion, a special guest appearance from the UK’s official No.1 top tribute act: Oasish will see the multi award winning Oasis tribute band performing the album live and in-full on the evening.
