Cuff Communications is delighted to be adding Antona Restaurant Group to its client portfolio. Founded by chef and owner Andreas Antona, the brand includes Michelin starred Simpsons in Birmingham, The Cross in Warwickshire, Eureka Kitchen Cookery School, and Antona at Home.

Andreas has been a reputable figure in the hospitality industry for decades and is one of the most successful restaurateurs in the region. With several years under his belt working at The Dorchester and The Ritz, he then moved back to Birmingham taking on head chef position at the Plough & Harrow Hotel before setting up on his own with Simpsons Restaurant. Frequently referred to as ‘the Godfather of modern Birmingham food’, Antona also plays a leading role as a chair for Bocuse d’Or and is a Governor at the University College Birmingham, where at the latter he played a pivotal role in shaping the undergraduate hospitality training, nurturing young, home grown talent and establishing long term connections with leaders in the field both at home and abroad.

Simpsons under chef Luke Tipping celebrates its 28th year and 22 years as the longest established Michelin star restaurant in the West Midlands. The modern British restaurant relocated from Kenilworth to a Grade II listed building in Edgbaston in 2004, located just moments from the city centre, the Royal Botanical Gardens and Birmingham Symphony Hall. Here Andreas was able to develop the space into a beautiful, modern, open plan restaurant complete with garden, additional private rooms and Eureka Kitchen Cookery School on the first floor.

The UK’s most successful Bocuse d’Or candidate Adam Bennett, heads up Michelin starred The Cross in Kenilworth. Set in a characterful Grade II listed 19th-century inn with a spacious garden, its main dining room and bar are a former school room and butcher’s shop. Bennett’s dishes are inspired by working with the seasons and reinventing the great French and British classics.

Antona at Home was founded in the wake of Covid when the restaurants were unable to trade but there was a new demand for excellent quality restaurant food delivered. It has since flourished, offering multiple services including a successful at home delivery box, a soon to be launched bespoke catering and events business and Soko, an artisan chocolates and patisserie company for retail and wholesale.

Next stop is Christmas Hampers. We’ll keep you posted!
