Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has published its Welsh Language Standards Annual Report for April 2020 to March 2021.
The Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011 sets out a legal framework which imposes a duty on all local authorities and National Park Authorities in Wales, together with the Welsh Ministers, to comply with the Standards relating to the Welsh Language.
National Park Authority Chairman, Cllr Paul Harries said: “The National Park Authority is committed to promoting the Welsh language as evidenced in our 5-year Welsh Language Strategy, National Park Management Plan and Local Development Plan 2.
“These official plans are supplemented by the daily work undertaken by Authority staff from sharing information online, to school visits, public events and volunteering sessions.
“The Authority is fully committed to the principle of allowing Welsh speakers to use their language in all aspects of their lives and recognises its responsibility to facilitate and promote this use.
“This report sets out the progress that has been made over the past year in complying with the Welsh Language Standards and highlights the areas where further improvements can still be made.”
