A 19-year-old man arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl in Cardiff city centre has been released on conditional bail.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident which happened in the vicinity of Sandon Street and Adam Street shortly before 11pm on Saturday, September 18.
Detective Inspector Grant Wilson, from South Wales Police, said:“Sexual assault is one of the most traumatic and devastating experiences a person can suffer and we at South Wales Police are committed to providing a first-class service to victims.
“In Cardiff we have a strong tradition of partnership work to keep our city safe and we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the public and city centre business community for their continued help and support during this on-going investigation.
“While the person arrested has been arrested on conditional bail, our investigation is very much on-going and a team of detectives are carrying out extensive enquiries in and around the city centre.
