September 2021 – The rescue teams of Pontypandy are back with more heroes, emergencies and adventure in Mattel Television and WildBrain’s brand-new Fireman Sam Series 13. Tune in weekdays 5pm starting Monday 4th October on Cartoonito.

Series 13 welcomes new resident the Marine Biologist, Jodie Phillips, voiced by AYESHA ANTOINE (Doctor Who, Skins) – she is passionate about all things Oceanic and drives the eco-education focus in the new episodes. Pre-school tots are encouraged to think about sustainable living and protecting marine life and the environment.

Jodie is intelligent, fearless and a natural athlete using her custom prosthetic legs on land and sea – a positive, vibrant role model for Pontypandy. When she isn’t collecting data on marine life in the Welsh seas, she is aboard the new Hovercraft helping Ocean Rescue!

There are thrilling animal rescues supported by Pontypandy Police new recruits – Police Dog Shadow and Police Horse KiloPolice Dog Shadow is an expert search and rescue dog, loyal and energetic, ready for every emergency with a snazzy selection of uniforms and accessories. While Police Horse Kilo, calm, proud and strong with a penchant for carrots, will do all he can for his rider and care-giver, Police SGT. Rose Ravani.

Series 13 continues to introduce little ones to important safety messages and this season’s new Tidal Flats location educates how to be safe on the beach and at sea, and how to look after the planet.

To help navigate Pontypandy tidal flats, the brand-new Rescue Hovercraft, with sonar technology, double water cannons and warning sirens adds a whole new level of excitement to Ocean Rescue’s exhilarating and daring responses!

When they are all safely back on the Quayside, Jodie says, “I’m really sorry, I should have looked-up the latest tide charts before we set off…” Ben replies, “Next time just check in with me and I’ll give you all the info you need!”

Not to be left out, Police SGT. Rose Ravani is kitted out with a brand-new high-tech Amphibious Helicopter that can tackle the most challenging predicaments with a high-powered search light, on-board heat-seeking technology, tactical navigation and more.

Meanwhile, Sam pulls up alongside the police helicopter to collect Joe and Hannah.

Fireman Sam Series 13 is packed with a host of nail-biting situations, from investigating the Beast of Pontypandy to fighting fire on the water. There are blazing hot air balloons, riptide rescues and we discover the ghost of Pontypandy Pete on the haunted hayride. But whatever the rescue, wherever the emergency, you can be sure that the Rescue Team of Pontypandy will always be there to save the day!
