Casey Coleman from Chair Studio in Cardiff has been named Social Stylist of the Year at HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards 2021.
Casey beat off tough competition from other finalists to be recognised for his winning social strategy and online presence.
Held on Monday 4th October at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards – now in their 23rd year – reward the hardworking names that have built outstanding salon businesses, helping to make British hairdressing the most respected in the world. From standout salons and dynamic teams to groundbreaking innovations and trailblazing individuals, HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards are an annual celebration of business brilliance.
Casey reached the finals after submitting a detailed online dossier outlining the key factors that make him a stand-out social media star. Judges praised his exciting content, consistent engagement and client growth.
On being announced as the winner, Casey commented: ‘I am completely overwhelmed, I am so shocked, but I am over the moon. It’s been a really tough year so this is just my life complete, I can’t believe that I did it. Social media can be a very lonely place, you’re the only person on that account but there are so many other people behind it. My mum is always there constantly telling me that I’m doing well, HairDotCom, F.A.M.E Team I want to thank them all, there are far too many people to thank to be honest. And I want to thank me, because I did it and I am ecstatic!’
Jayne Lewis Orr, Executive Director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards said: ‘The pandemic has highlighted more than ever that social media has a huge role to play, both in promoting business and creating a feeling of community. Casey has demonstrated a natural flair for curating interesting and relevant content and using this to grow client numbers. A strong social feed takes planning and hard work and Casey should feel incredibly proud of all he has achieved.’
