Appeal | Child dies following Llanelli collision and Update

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving, following a fatal collision at the Heol Goffa crossroads in Llanelli.

The incident, which involved a blue 3 series BMW and a blue Vauxhall Vectra, occurred at around 9pm yesterday (Friday, October 8).

Sadly, a child has died as a result of the injuries they sustained in the collision. Specialist police officers are providing support to their family.

The arrested woman was travelling in a separate car to the child. She remains in police custody at this time. There were no other casualties.

UPDATE:

Dyfed-Powys Police has Yesterday morning (October 10th) charged 23-year-old Lucy Dyer, of Heulwen Terrace, Llanelli, with causing death by dangerous driving, and drink driving, in connection with the fatal road traffic collision at Heol Goffa, Llanelli, in which a child died. She has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Llanelli Magistrates Court on Monday, October 11.
