Dear Editor,

Protecting children from all forms of abuse is the mission of the NSPCC and its Schools Service is an integral part of that work. It is responsible for delivering the charity’s Speak out. Stay safe. programme, giving children across Wales an understanding and awareness of different types of abuse and how to recognise the signs. The bilingual programme reassures children that abuse is never a child’s fault, that they have the right to be safe, and it shows them where to get help – including from our Childline service. We’re looking for four new team members to help deliver our prevention work in schools in Pembrokeshire & Carmarthenshire; Powys and Ceredigion; RCT, Caerphilly, Swansea, Neath Port-Talbot and Bridgend; and Newport, Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Torfaen and Merthyr Tydfil. For more information about the School Co-ordinator roles, you can visit our website or contact me via Rhian.Jones@nspcc.org.uk.

Primary schools can sign up to our virtual Speak out. Stay safe. assemblies, featuring Ant & Dec, for free: learning.nspcc.org.uk/services/speak-out-stay-safe.
