Christmas with Calon

Dear Friends 

On behalf of Calon Hearts, the Heart Charity for Wales, may I thank you for your kind support for what has been a most challenging year for us all. For Calon Hearts, we have had to put every effort into re-boosting our charity to ensure that we continue to provide our potentially life-saving work by installing defibrillators, offering heart-screening and providing CPR & Defibrillator training throughout Wales.

We have a number of forthcoming festive events over the Christmas period and we would be delighted if you would join us at any or even all of them!:

To launch our Christmas Hearts of Gold fundraising campaign*, our first event will be the Christmas Lights Switch-on taking place in Llandaff Village on Wednesday 17th November, 5pm. TV Presenter, Lucy Owen, will be performing the switch-on at 6.30pm and there will be a school choir, the Rock choir and a brass band, as well as a special appearance by Father Christmas himself! The event promises to be an enjoyable start to the festive season for all the family. Please join us at the Llandaff Institute from 5pm for a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie! NB there will be a road closure in Llandaff Village from 5pm to 9pm so parking will need to be in adjacent areas.Llandaff Christmas Lights turn on – Heart Screening Wales

Come along to one of our Christmas Markets, taking place on 4th, 11th and 18th December at the Butcher’s Arms, Llandaff. Father Christmas will also be joining us, so why not bring your children for a photo and a present for £3.Christmas Market with Santa’s Grotto – Heart Screening Wales 

Have you signed up yet for our hugely popular SANTA DASH taking place at Cardiff Bay on Sunday 5th December? We had over 2000 runners at the last SANTA DASH and hoping to exceed that this year. Come along individually or as a family, preferably dressed as an Elf or Santa and enter one of our ‘best dressed’ competitions.
