Emmaus Bridgend Community House

Emmaus South Wales is based in Bridgend, but is a national and internationally affiliated movement, that strives to offer individuals a safe home in our 24-room supported and communal accommodation, individual support and opportunities for personal development including involvement in our social enterprise, ultimately supporting and empowering individuals to rebuild their lives, gain confidence and a sense of self-worth.

Employing a holistic model, we work with partnership organisations to offer additional support to meet individuals’ needs, and as a charity we can provide an invaluable steppingstone to a diverse range of individuals who find themselves homeless due to a number of reasons: sofa surfing, being in transition between places, experiencing unexpected life changes, struggling with conventional housing and related finances, or having otherwise “fallen through the net”. Our community offers a safe, supportive and welcoming environment and is different from hostels or places that simply offer a bed for the night.

If you feel anyone in your network could benefit from, or works with individuals who could benefit from, the support that Emmaus South Wales offers please do not hesitate to contact us for further details or to arrange paying us a visit, on community@emmaussouthwales.org.uk, or phone our community staff on 01656 667 215.

We also have a website which can be visited on https://emmaus.org.uk/south-wales/ To make a referral for someone please contact our community for more information or visit the online application form on: https://emmaus.org.uk/south-wales/live-with-us/ (“Apply Now” button three-quarters down the page.)
