And the crown goes to…

In the run up to the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, data experts at SlotsUp reveal Toby Maguire is the most successful Spidey.

Their brand new study reveals Maguire is closely followed by new lead Tom Holland and finally by ex-Spider-Man Andrew Garfield.

In order to gather rankings, the team scored the number of awards and nominations given to each actor, alongside their net worth, film credits, and the reception of their Spider-Man films.

As expected, the original always comes out on top! Boasting a net worth of $75 million, 53 film credits, as well as nine award wins and 32 nominations, Maguire, statistically speaking, is the most successful Spiderman to grace our screens.

What’s more, the Spider-Man films he appeared in secured the best IMDB ratings, as well as the highest number of awards – with Spider-Man 2 grossing an impressive 25 awards and a rating of 7.3. Here’s the full breakdown below:

  • Spider-Man: 16 wins  – IMDB rating: 7.3
  • Spider-Man 2: 25 wins – IMDB rating: 7.3
  • Spider-Man 3: 4 wins  – IMDB rating: 6.2

Holland may be a new contender on the block, but he’s not that far behind Maguire when it comes to settling who the most successful Spider-Man is.

Despite having a lower net worth of $18 million and 32 film credits, the 25 year-old actor is certainly doing well with his 19 award wins and nominations.

His Spider-Man films have also done extremely well, with Spider-Man: Far From Home reaping 10 awards and an IMDB rating of 7.4, and Spider-Man: Homecoming securing seven wins and a rating of 7.4.

With the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home next month, it looks like this star doesn’t show any signs of stopping!

  1. Andrew GarfieldĀ

Placing last place is the one and only Andrew Garfield! In an interview with GQ, Garfield declared that despite enjoying playing Spider-Man, he couldn’t stand all the baggage that came along with being Spidey. We assume this is why the actor was so quick to address rumours that he will not be returning for the latest Spider-Man release!

According to IMDB, Garfield’s Spider-Man films were the least successful out of the three generations. The Amazing Spider-Man only received a total of two awards and a rating of 6.9, and its sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 received four awards and a rating of 6.5.

Despite all of this, Garfield is a highly successful actor. At 38 years-old, he’s received 19 wins and 84 nominations (including an Oscar!), 33 credits in films, and has a net worth of $13 million. Go Andrew!
