How to Protect the Boot of Your Car

The boot of the car can be one of the dirtiest parts of the vehicle and become very smelly and messy after extensive use. The more use you get from the boot of your car, the more it will need to be cleaned.

Step 1: Clean the dog hair from your boot 

The first thing to do will be to remove all the hair and this can be done in a few ways. Pet hair can be effectively removed with a powerful car vacuum. A dog hair removal brush — available in most pet stores and supermarkets— is another good option for removing this unwanted hair. For those extra stubborn sections. In the event that dog hair does begin to accumulate on these hooks and fasteners, tweezers, lint rollers, combs and, if nothing else, duct tape is a great way to remove these contaminants. You can then apply anti-static spray to keep hair from becoming lodged in the loop fasteners.  

Step 4: Keep pet smells at bay 

Dogs love to play in the grass, the sand, the mud and water and all this fun can make for a funky smelling pooch. Keep these smells from entering your car with a handy odor mat. These quilted pads contain activated charcoal to help absorb unwanted smells.
