Caerphilly County Borough Council is asking members of the public to give their views on its proposals to introduce a low cost home ownership policy.
A recent local housing market assessment undertaken by the council demonstrated a high requirement throughout the county borough for a range of good quality, affordable homes, including social rented accommodation and low cost home ownership.
In response, the council has revealed ambitious plans to develop mixed and sustainable communities where people want to live, and which promote health and wellbeing. It plans to do this through the provision of a range of good quality, affordable homes, delivered through the planning system, in partnership with local housing associations and through its own innovative new build programme.
Low cost home ownership aims to help those on lower incomes purchase their own home. Members of the public are being asked to give their views on a draft policy for low cost home ownership in the county borough, including eligibility and priority.
To take part in the survey visit: Caerphilly – Caerphilly County Borough. The survey will end on Wednesday 5th January 2022.
Responses will be used to finalise the draft policy that the council’s Cabinet will be asked to review and approve.
