Ceredigion Public Services Board has now written the draft Assessment of Local Well-being.

This will inform the next Ceredigion Local Well-being Plan 2023-28 and it is important that we get it right. We want to find out about the well-being of local people and communities, now and for the future. Many things can influence the well-being of our individuals and communities, such as economic, social, environmental and cultural factors.

Under the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015, each Public Services Board (PSB) in Wales must periodically produce and publish an Assessment of Local Well-being. This Assessment will then be used to put together our next Ceredigion Local Well-being Plan for 2023-28. This Plan will set out our Well-being Objectives and work as Ceredigion Public Services Board to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of Ceredigion.

Ceredigion PSB undertook a public engagement campaign during the summer and early autumn of 2021 and the findings from this work have contributed to this draft Assessment of Local Well-being. Evidence that we used included a Well-being Survey, online engagement meetings and other research.

Leader of Ceredigion County Council Ellen ap Gwynn and Chair of Ceredigion Public Services Board said: “The draft Assessment of Local Well-being tells us a lot about economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being in Ceredigion. But before we can produce our Well-being Plan for the next five years, we need to check that we have identified the right issues and themes. I would encourage everyone to have their say on the draft Assessment of Local Well-being and help us improve well-being across the county and help us protect our future generations.”
