With the growing number of cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in Wales, it is more important than ever to protect yourself and others.

The COVID-19 vaccine continues to be one of the best ways of protecting yourselves from serious illness and reducing the spread of the virus.

Residents of  Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire who are  aged 12 or over, can attend drop-in clinics  at all mass vaccination centres. Transport support is available for those that need help getting to a mass vaccination centre. The opening times for your nearest mass vaccination centre are available on the COVID-19 vaccination page on our website.

Bethan Lewis, Interim Assistant Director of Public Health at Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “With the growing number of cases of the omicron variant of COVID-19 in our area, the full course of vaccination continues to the best way to protect yourselves and our community from serious illness and spreading the virus.

“Our teams at the mass vaccination centres across the three counties have been working tirelessly over the last few months to help vaccinate the community. We strive to leave no one behind, and urge you to come forward and drop in to any of our mass vaccination centres if you haven’t received your first, second, third or booster vaccines yet.

“Help us help you stay protected by getting your COVID-19 vaccine.”

Housebound patients continue to be supported by local GP practices, where their staffing allows, whilst in other areas our community vaccination team will arrange to visit and offer vaccination. If you have already contacted the health board with your details you do not need to contact us again and we will be in touch very soon.

Please however do not attend if you are feeling unwell or if you have had a COVID-19 positive test in the last 28 days. Under 18s are currently advised to wait 12 weeks from a COVID-19 positive test before having any COVID-19 dose. For any queries, or if you are unable to attend a drop-in clinic, please arrange an appointment by contacting the health board directly on 0300 303 8322 or COVIDEnquiries.hdd@wales.nhs.uk to arrange an appointment.
