How to watch the 2022 Super Bowl LVI in the UK

American football fanatics will know that the Super Bowl LVI will be the much-anticipated championship game of the 2021 NFL season. But when is it airing? And how can you tune in from the UK? Leading TV manufacturer, Hisense, shares the lowdown to get the best vieweing experience from the NFL’s biggest game of the year.

When is it on?

Sunday 13th February 2022. The Super Bowl LVI will be kicking off at 11.30pm GMT (which is 3pm over in California) and is likely to run on until approximately 3am GMT on Monday 14th February 2022.

How to watch the Super Bowl LVI in the UK:

For UK fans, the Super Bowl LVI will be shown live on BBC One, and you’ll be able to stream the game live on BBC iPlayer. Fans can also watch the game live over on Sky Sports NFL.

Or, for those wanting the authentic US-experience, you can also tune in via NFL Game Pass which has traditionally shown full US TV coverage of the game, including the infamous Super Bowl hallowed adverts that the US viewers will be watching.

How to get the best experience:

Matthew Glynn, Product Marketing Manager, at Hisense UK, says: “To get the best Super Bowl LVI viewing experience this year, you’d be well placed to make sure that your tech is up to scratch!

“First of all, check that your TV allows access to all the right apps so that you can watch the game live with no interruptions or delays. All of Hisense’s TV’s now feature VIDAA 5.0 technology which offers a rich library of apps – so you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to opting for your Super Bowl streaming service.”

“My second tip would be to eradicate any lagging this February 13th. Take our Hisense A6G 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, for example: this model comes equipped with both Sports Mode and Smooth Motion, which means when your TV detects a sports signal, it automatically switches to Sports Mode for an immersive live stadium experience. And with the Smooth Motion feature, you can watch the Super Bowl action unfold seamlessly, as your TV does all the work for you – reducing the blur and smoothing out any screen lag as the game plays live.

“And finally, for those not wanting to miss a beat, I’d suggest amping up your sound system for the game. Our new All-In-One Soundbar is Roku TV Ready and has a built-in subwoofer and two front-firing speakers to deliver bright, clear sound and excellent bass. Plus, users can switch between its three different pre-set sound modes, depending on what you’re watching to ensure the perfect audio setting – meaning that you’ll be able to hear every breath that players take, and every single bar of Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige and Kendrick Lamar’s epic Halftime Show!”
