New analysis of Google search data shows online searches for ‘How to Delete Tinder Account’ skyrocketed by 920%, on the 15th of February, one day after Valentine’s Day, in the UK.
Research by entertainment experts CasinoGuide, found that just hours after Valentine’s Day, searches for ‘How to Delete Tinder Account’ had increased over nine times the average searches, according to Google Trends data.
A spokesperson from CasinoGuide commented on their findings said, “With Valentine’s Day over and the breakout Netflix documentary ‘The Tinder Swindler’, it’s been fascinating to see the nation deciding to part ways with the popular dating app. This move could come as a result of numerous factors following Valentine’s Day including singleton’s looking into more traditional ways of finding a partner, or simply to spend time on themselves. The hit Netflix documentary has undoubtedly has an impact on users of Tinder, reminding online dating users to be cautious and vigilant.”
