Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are running Female Taster Sessions at Earlswood Training Centre, on March 3rd and 22nd, April 2nd and May 19th
The aim of our 3-hour Taster Session is to give people the opportunity to find out more about the various roles and entry requirements within the fire service, and the wider role that the fire service plays in the community, including:
-The role of a modern-day firefighter
-Trying on the firefighting kit and equipment
-The various aspects of the recruitment process
-The importance of fitness and maintaining fitness
-The various types of equipment and PPE
-Career pathways and role maps
There are two additional Taster Days available on June 4th and 20th – these are non-gender specific.
It’s the perfect opportunity to see what Firefighting all is about!
