Peaky Blinders Is BACK! The Five Most Popular Eps According to Fans

The wait is nearly over, as the brand new season of Peaky Blinders is about to grace our screens this Sunday 27th February.

With the final instalment delayed due to the pandemic, The Shelbys will be returning to our screens for one last time.

So it would be rude not to take a look back at fans’ favourite Peaky Blinders episodes of all time.

The team at Betway has done some digging into IMBD data to reveal the five best Peaky Blinders eps according to viewers… and of course superfans.

  1. Series 2 ep 6- 9.6 stars |10,255 ratings

Out of all five series so far, the finale of season two was by far the fans favourite ep, aired on 6th November 2014.

As Derby day arrives, Tommy is faced with impossible decisions as he prepares to strike back at his enemies and take the family business to the next level.

Meanwhile, Major Campbell has one final card to play – one that he is certain will bring about Tommy’s demise.

The juicy ep received an impressive 10,255 ratings giving the episode 9.6 stars with one fan feeling rather excited, “G-R-I-P-P-I-N-G. BEST episode ever to be filmed in the entire history of television. End of.”

  1. Series 3 ep 6 – 9.6 stars | 9,107 ratings

Another season finale favourite, the final episode of season three had fans on the edge of their seats, as Tommy prepares to commit the most audacious crime of his career, an unexpected blow forces him to face his worst fears in a race against time.

Fans are left dying to know what happens next and clearly, the cliffhanger pumped up the ratings- “I was about to give it’s a 7 star, but I added an extra star just because of the twist right at the ending.”

  1. Series 4 ep 1- 9.5 stars | 9,165 ratings

Clearly, fans were eager for the return of season four, excited for a pre-Christmas treat as the ep ‘The Noose’ aired on 21st December 2017.

After a recap of what happened at the end of series 3, with the arrest of Arthur Shelby, John Shelby, Polly Gray, and Michael Gray. Next, Arthur, John, and Michael are pulled from their prison cells at Winson Green Prison and led to a room containing three nooses.

The ep then begins with Tommy Shelby receiving a letter that makes him realise that he and every member of the family are in danger. He knows that it is time for the family to bury their differences and face the enemy together.

It seems viewers were pretty impressed with the ep, “Well season four certainly hits the ground running. Always good to see the whole cast return and keeping up their characters. That ending was a gut punch in the feels, damn.”

  1. Series 4 ep 6- 9.5 stars | 9,167 ratings 

After a series of bloody battles and shocking events, it is safe to say that many viewers were eager to tune in to the season finale of series four. 

In the episode, events escalate during the fight between Goliath and Bonnie Gold. As Audrey Changretta appears at a funeral, waving a white flag, she proposes to declare the Vendetta between her family and the Shelbys settled. And she names her price… but what will that be?

Fans described the ep as “‘a whirlwind of events, from highs to the lowest of lows. Solid acting and a well-developed storyline, bringing and end to the major plot and starting up the next.”

  1. Series 1 ep 6- 9.2 stars | 8,606 ratings

Finally making the top five eps of all time, a classic all the way back from series one as Tommy and the Peaky Blinders prepare for a big operation, that quickly becomes way trickier than they thought.

The ep was described as the ‘perfect start to s1’, with one review left by a hooked Peaky Blinders fan- “Most underrated show … Everything is perfect the actings, screenplay I am in love with peaky blinders.”
