Today; 1^st March 2022 FNCPR are pleased to announce the start of the official crowdfunding initiative for Historic Sci-fi Legend John Carter Warlord of Mars. The PC gaming game being developed by Hypnotic Ants Studio. John Carter Warlord of Mars will be reimagined and with the aid of Kickstarter.com

Commencing in 1945 gameplay will centre on the soldier John Carter and his mission to find Adolf Hitler’s secret projects operation. The orders for this mission come directly from Ian Fleming triggering the start of an epic sci-fi adventure. Within his quest John Carter finds experimental technology that ultimately transports him to ‘Barsoom‘ known to us on Earth as the fourth planet in our solar system, the red planet, Mars.

When on Barsoom the action follows John Carter as he meets the weird and wonderful natives of Barsoom, acclimatising himself to Martian gravity, the local customs and Martian languages. His mission includes meeting the mighty Thark warrior, Tars Tarkas, fighting with giant ape-like monsters and falling in love with the beautiful Princess of Mars, Dejah Thoris. 

John Carter Warlord of Mars is the planet-hopping hero that was conceived over 110 years ago by genre-defining writer, Edgar Rice Burroughs. As well as being the central character in 11 novels since 1912, he has featured in various comic book incarnations, table-top games and a feature film all spanning several decades. Carter’s adventures have left a lasting cultural legacy, inspiring writers and scientists like Ray Bradbury, Jerry Siegal and Carl Sagan. He also profoundly influenced series like Flash Gordon and blockbusters like George Lucas’ Star Wars and James Cameron’s Avatar. Gamers now have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Burroughs’ epic fantasy world, with the new game set to be available on PC; bringing the historic sci-fi fantasy to a contemporary audience.

Ian Fleming, the illustrious creator of James Bond, will be characterised in a videogame for the first time ever. Before he put pen to paper on his iconic James Bond novels, Lieutenant Commander Fleming worked for Britain’s Naval Intelligence Division during the Second World War. Fleming was involved in the conception or execution of Operation Golden Eye, Operation Mincemeat and Operation Ruthless to name a few and in the planning and oversight of two intelligence units: 30 Assault Unit and T-Force.

Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., manages and licences the creative works of novelist Edgar Rice Burroughs – including Tarzan of the Apes® and John Carter of Mars®. FNCPR Ltd. has acquired the licence to develop and publish the John Carter: Warlord of Mars game.
Through this cooperation, the grandfather of science fiction meets state-of-the-art gaming technology in an all-action, first-person adventure video game, bringing the world’s oldest interplanetary warrior to life across PC. 
The voice cast includes two BAFTA winners. David Elliott takes the lead role of Carter, Brian Bovell as Tars Tarkas, and Kezia Burrows playing the Princess of Mars, Dejah Thoris.
