A series of events will take place during May in six rural towns in Ceredigion to provide business regeneration and entrepreneurial support.

The aim of the events, hosted by Cynnal y Cardi, is to encourage enterprising individuals to take steps in beginning or growing their businesses in Ceredigion through facilitating discussions on business ideas, issues and support available.

As well as representatives from organisations including Big Ideas Wales, Business Wales and New Skills New Start, Local Business Ambassadors will also be in attendance to share their experience and best practices.

The events will take place between 2-6pm at the following locations and dates:

·         9 May – Y Talbot, Tregaron

·         11 May – Y Porth Hotel, Llandysul

·         13 May – Marine Hotel, Aberystwyth

·         16 May – Feathers Hotel, Aberaeron

·         18 May – Creuddyn Centre, Lampeter

·         20 May – Guildhall, Cardigan

Russell Hughes-Pickering, Corporate Lead Officer for Economy and Regeneration, says: “One of the key priorities for Ceredigion’s Economic Strategy is to see those who wish to stay and develop a career in Ceredigion to realise there are opportunities to do so. We want to create an entrepreneurial focused culture for the county. Working with other agencies these events will present an opportunity for you to discuss your ideas and find out about the support available. You will have experts and local businesses on hand to answer any questions you may have.”

Cynnal y Cardi the LEADER scheme for Ceredigion, which is administered by Ceredigion County Council, is supported through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
