New analysis of Google search data shows online searches for the term ‘Australia Flights’ skyrocketed by 177% in the UK on the 26th of April, following the launch of a new campaign to boost tourism.
Entertainment experts AskGamblers discovered searches to fly down under have risen more than twice the average search volume, according to Google Trends data.
A spokesperson from AskGamblers said, “With the announcement of flights to South Australia costing just £10 for 18–30-year-olds, it’s interesting to see the boom in searches for tickets. If an eligible traveller is successful in the scheme, this could help Australia’s hospitality and agriculture industries to thrive again following the pandemic.
“With young Brits bringing working skills to the country to help close employment gaps, it looks like a win-win for everyone involved. It will also be fascinating to see how quickly the 200 available discounted tickets are taken, with plenty of people likely to be keen to snap one up, from university students planning a gap year to people taking sabbatical leave.”
The research was conducted by AskGamblers which offers transparent, unbiased casino and game reviews, real players’ opinions and ratings, dedicated to guiding players to a safe gambling experience.
