Hywel Dda Health Board: Margaret Street Dental Practice To Return NHS Contract

It is with regret that Margaret Street Dental Practice, Ammanford, will be closing on 31 July 2022. 

The health board is working closely with {My} Dentist to provide patients who had previously received care at the Practice with information about their ongoing care, and the options available to them whilst the Health Board works to find a new service provider for the area. 

The Practice will provide any urgent care that patients require until 31 July 2022 and will ensure completion of any treatment.

Jill Paterson, Director of Primary Care, Community and Long-Term Care for Hywel Dda University Health Board said: “The Health Board would like to thank patients for the support that they have given to Practice over the years and appreciate the impact that this will have on the local population.

“The Health Board is working to find a long-term solution which secures ongoing NHS Dental services.”

If you have any queries with regards to your appointments, please do not hesitate to contact the Practice. Following the practice closure, patients who are experiencing dental pain should contact 111 to access an urgent access appointment which is available 7 days a week.

We kindly ask that patients who are an NHS patient affiliated to Margaret Street Dental Practice refrain from contacting alternative practices in the area at this time. Alternatively, you can contact the health board by emailing HDHB.Dental.hdd@wales.nhs.uk or by telephoning 0300 303 8322 to be put on a holding list for the new practice once the service is in place.
