Vegan on paper, but not if it means sacrificing the chance to couple-up, as new research by Myvegan has revealed that 1 in 4 Brits would change their diet for a better relationship.
The research found that while a quarter (25%) of Brits would change their diet or lifestyle to make their partner happy, 45% would still hold on to their usual habits for as long as possible.
The research also found that:
- More than 1 in 5 (24%) stated they would try to persuade their partner to change their diet, with 25-34 year-olds coming off the most pushy (35%)
- Almost a fifth (18%) of Brits said that they would be less attracted to somebody because of their dietary choices, with women being choosier than men
- Of all the qualities Brits seek in a partner, diet is lowest on the list, with just 27% of people saying it’s important. This ranks behind political views (42%), career (48%) and pop culture (49%).
- The average top three most desirable traits Brits look for in a partner are sense of humour (92%), intelligence (80%) and physical appearance (73%).
