Dear Editor

Invasion of the MEGATRONS

Talk about ‘War of the Worlds’ for there are sinister proposals to invade Wales with MEGATRONS (mighty beasts) that are over 700 feet high wind machines set to destroy the irrefutable beauty of Wales, and inflict illness with their flicker and low frequency hum on the local population. Unbelievably 21 of these beasts, 820 feet high are to invade the village of Bryn above Maesteg and Port Talbot, a further invasion of 20 of the same gargantuan monsters is proposed for Moelfre, near Betws-yn-Rhos, Colwyn Bay – jungle drums warn there are 36 MEGATRONS each 722 feet in height, planned for Nant Mithil, near New Radnor, Powys. Recognise dear reader that the Blackpool Tower is much shorter at 520 feet. It truly begs the question if the Senedd will call for volunteers to create an army to defend our irreplaceable landscapes? Indeed how many Welsh people are aware of this pending invasion, for once they are up, unlucky folk in close proximity to these beasts, will truly suffer and the felony will be compounded by an obvious reduction in property value – we should all support our fellow citizens – remember you could be next – lobby your local Senedd member for action now, and let him know of your objection as every voice counts!
