Join the Ports, Past and Present project at Pembroke Dock Library on Wednesday August 31 from 2pm for a very special afternoon. We will be joined by Martin Crampin, author of Stained Glass from Welsh Churches, for a guided walk. Starting at Pembroke Dock Library, we will first go on to St John’s Church to view the many late Victorian and Edwardian examples of stained glass. At St Mary’s Church we will have a chance to see the Arts and Crafts east window, then it’s back to the library to continue our conversations over refreshments, and to view the Remembrance window (currently housed in the library but soon to be moved to the Heritage Centre).

At the library there will also be the opportunity to visit the Ports, Past and Present Exhibition, currently on show at the library, which Martin has co-curated with colleagues at the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies.

The walking is mostly flat, but you’re welcome to join us at just one of the venues if walking is difficult.

The afternoon will be free to attend.

Please ring Pembroke Dock Library to book a place: 01437 775825

We will look forward to seeing you.

Ports, Past and Present is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Co-operation Programme.
