First Milk farmer director Robert Craig and Responsible Sourcing Manager Lee Truelove are undertaking an epic 340-mile cycle ride from the dairy co-operative’s creamery in Haverfordwest to the Lake District Creamery in Aspatria. The ride is in aid of First Milk’s 2022 charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
The cyclists are leaving Haverfordwest this Saturday, 17th September, clocking up a daily average of around 70 miles and totalling more than 20,000ft of uphill elevation. They will track up through central south Wales before crossing the ‘border’ near Knighton and heading due north parallel with, but definitely not on, the M6!
They were expecting to take five days, but as a mark of respect to the Queen and in acknowledgement of the State Funeral, they will pause their journey on Monday 19th before continuing on and reaching Aspatria on Thursday 22nd.
