With the recent news that Nike has become one of the most profitable fashion brands in the NFT marketplace, other brands including yourself might be looking to do the same. This NFT and Web3 expert shares what you need to be considering before hopping into launching a brand in the metaverse.
XONE is a mobile Augmented Reality social network developed by CEO & Co-Founder James Shannon, that allows users to build and share 3D worlds. XONE’s vision is to become the web3 version of TikTok, focusing on user-friendly interfaces, discovery, and music to onboard the next 100 million users into web3.
“There are many things you need to think about before you launch a brand within the metaverse. What type of audience are you marketing to? Does this audience know how to use a crypto wallet? Are you trying to drive revenue or engagement? Engagement requires as much exposure as possible and therefore the activation shouldn’t be gated with wallets etc.
Is the brand thinking about how this metaverse activity will play out over the long term or is it a one-off activation? Is the company legally set up to accept crypto payments,” says James Shannon, CEO & Co-Founder of XONE.
When brands launched on the social media giants of today, they had to ask themselves the similar questions back in the early 2010s. Now we’re waiting to see who will be the first platforms to launch on web3 and be successful at capturing a new audience who is ready to take their online experience to the next level.
