Moneysupermarket.com Group Plc (“Moneysupermarket”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Niall McBride to the Board as Chief Financial Officer, subject to regulatory approval.

Niall is currently Chief Financial Officer at Ocado Retail Limited, having joined in 2020. Prior to this, he was a managing director at Rothschild & Co. Niall started his career at PwC, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Niall’s start date will be confirmed in due course but will be no later than 3 April 2023. He will replace Scilla Grimble, who will be leaving Moneysupermarket, as previously announced, to join Deliveroo plc.

Moneysupermarket confirms that Niall’s appointment terms are in accordance with the terms of the remuneration policy approved by shareholders.

Independent Non-Executive Director

Moneysupermarket is also pleased to announce the appointment of Rakesh Sharma as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 3 October 2022. Rakesh will be appointed as a member of the Audit, Nomination and Risk & Sustainability Committees of the Board with effect from the same date.

Subject to regulatory approval, Rakesh will succeed Sarah Warby as Remuneration Committee Chair, Sarah having assumed the role of Interim Remuneration Committee Chair on 17 June 2022.

Rakesh, a former Chief Executive Officer, brings to the Board over 30 years’ broad experience from tech and cyber industries.  Rakesh is currently the Senior Independent Director and Remuneration Committee Chair at PayPoint plc and Chairman of AIM-listed Kromek Group plc.

Robin Freestone, Chair of the Company, said: “On behalf of the Board, I’m delighted to welcome Rakesh as an Independent Non-Executive Director. With his expansive technological and digital experience, Rakesh will be a valuable addition and complement the diverse backgrounds and experience of our Board.”

Regulatory disclosures

This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.11 of the Listing Rules.  Moneysupermarket confirms there is no additional information that would require disclosure pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R in relation to Niall McBride or Rakesh Sharma.
