October marks National Pet Wellness Month1 , an awareness month aimed at promoting the overall health and wellness of your pet. In honour of promoting the wellness of pets, bed specialist Time4Sleep has launched a photo competition to find the UK’s sleepiest pooch.

Our pups love nothing more than cosying up to us at every available occasion – and that includes sneaking into our beds – so Time4Sleep wants to see your dog snuggled up under the covers taking a nap  or found in an unusual position to be in with the chance of winning a bed worth up to £400.

Sharing expert insight into why dogs feel comforted by a nap with their owners, dog behaviourist Steven Havers at Havers Dog Behaviour says:

“Dogs naturally live in family groups and as such feel safer and more secure with members of their family, whether that be a dog or human family. They need company and companionship to be at their most relaxed so like to sleep near to or on their humans for these reasons and to be at peak relaxation.”

To enter the photo competition, simply visit Time4Sleep’s UK’s Sleepiest Pooch competition page and complete the application form. All you need to do is share a photo or video of your dog caught napping (or invited to nap!) on your bed, share their name and some details about the sleeping session caught in action – do they always sleep upside down or with their tongue hanging out?

The closing date for photo entries is 11pm on the 17th October, so get your sleepy pup snaps sent in for the chance to win a bed worth up to £400!

Jonathan Warren, director and bed specialist at Time4Sleep says: “As a dog owner myself I’m no stranger to my dog jumping in my bed for a sneaky nap! We’re definitely not alone either as it’s something we see regularly from our customers when they share pictures of their new bedroom setups so we’re excited to launch this photo competition in aid of National Pet Wellness Month.”
