E-commerce experts RVS Media have analysed google search data that shows candle searches are up 3487% from last winter, ahead of planned backouts this year.

As well as candles. ‘Torches’ have seen a 1583% spike in searches from last year.

The National Grid has warned several planned blackouts may need to be brought in this winter like the ones planned during the 1970s.

What else can you do?

Buy LED chargeable lights, candles are great, but they can be dangerous around young children and pets.

Rajeev Nar says, ‘In the unlikely event of a national blackout, National Grid will more than likely plan them during off peak hours, 12-6am. However, for those who will be effected, we suggest ordering LED chargable lights, and not panic buy candles.
