Ceramica Botanica is a celebration of contemporary, hand-made pottery and ceramics from across south Wales and beyond.
It takes place at the National Botanic Garden of Wales over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday October 29-30
There will be 27 potters present and this is a great opportunity to meet them and find out how they make their ceramics.
You’ll see a range of work, from hard-working domestic ware to decorative sculptural pieces. These are made using different techniques such as wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramics, using a variety of firing techniques, including raku.
Set in the stunning surrounds of the Great Glasshouse for a whole weekend, take the opportunity to discover functional and decorative ceramics to suit all tastes and budgets, and make a start on your Christmas shopping – purchasing directly from the makers.
South Wales Potters are a group of potters and ceramicists. Members include full-time potters, sculptors and students as well as hobby potters and enthusiasts. The event will showcase a range of their work, with an opportunity to see ceramics from well-established makers alongside new and emerging talent.
Normal Botanic Garden admission applies and the Garden is open from 10am-6pm.
