Captivating teaser video sets the mood for the new format and conveys the vibes of the first business festival for next-generation products in the Spanish city
Even if March 2023 still seems a long way off, it’s now less than five months until the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (FYCMA) opens its doors to the first EVO NXT Festival for next-generation products (NGPs). A captivating teaser video now offers an initial preview of the event and its programme items, conveying above all the ‘spirit’ set to dominate at the venue. It can be viewed on the EVO NXT website and on Vimeo – and is definitely worth checking out. That’s also the message evident in the consistently positive feedback from within the industry, from where a great number of international bookings have been coming in. The EVO NXT Festival has also received support from industry-leading media partners, which will be able to be announced shortly.
Dortmund, 14 November 2022 – An intro featuring relaxed Mediterranean music and images conveying Spanish holiday flair gives way to a driving rhythm and introduces viewers to the EVO NXT business festival – the teaser video lasts just under two minutes and offers a preview of this exciting event. It is available to be viewed/downloaded at www.evo-nxt.com and on video platform Vimeo. “The teaser shows what the business festival is all about, and of course what is actually going to happen at the venue,” explained Angelika Bauer from Messe Dortmund. The idea of the festival has been well received, and numerous bookings have already been received. Interested businesses should therefore not wait too long and act sooner rather than later to book their stand space and attractive add-on packages.
Diverse event across 6,000 square metres
Plans include four large areas (‘zones’) with sufficient space for all the latest trends and innovations underway in the NGP industry. An exciting mix of elevator pitches, keynote talks, best-practice demos and workshops are also in the pipeline, offering plenty of inspiration and vision for international manufacturers and retailers, and also for buyers, market researchers, marketers, agencies and multipliers of the products mentioned. “But our teaser also shows the ‘other side’ of EVO NXT, namely the diverse mix of celebrities, lots of first-class entertainment and a wide-ranging musical programme,” she continued. “This combination of new products, information, fun and a party atmosphere is exactly how we think a business festival should be, and feedback on the concept shows we’re not alone in this. In fact, new participation requests started rolling in immediately after it went online, so we’re definitely on the right track.”
First bookings received – attractive spaces and packages available
For the EVO NXT Festival, the FYCMA in Málaga will be divided into four zones: the ‘E-ZONE’ for e-cigarettes, the ‘HEAT ZONE’ for heat-not-burn products, the ‘GREEN ZONE’ for CBD products and the ‘LIKE X-ZONE’ for products such as pastilles and snus. “In addition to internationally acclaimed top manufacturers of nicotine lifestyle products, suppliers from upstream production, such as producers of sustainable raw materials or climate-friendly packaging material, will also be presenting here,” explained Angelika Bauer. “Initial bookings for the different zones have already been received, so my advice to anyone interested is not to hesitate too long, even if attractive spaces and offer packages are still available right now. Anyone who doesn’t want to miss the chance to present themselves to optimum effect at this new, unique business festival should therefore contact us as soon as possible,” she concluded.
The new EVO NXT teaser and more details of the business festival, the programme plus booking information are all available at www.evo-nxt.com/de. Regular updates on the business festival are also available on LinkedIn, Instagram and in the EVO NXT newsletter.
Mini-interview: Three questions to Angelika Bauer (Messe Dortmund | EVO NXT Festival) |
Q: Angelika, what do you think a business festival should be, and how does it differ from a trade show? Angelika Bauer (AB): “At trade shows, the focus is usually on business aspects, with people getting together to exchange information on new products and business opportunities. There is usually an accompanying programme and an evening event. At a business festival, information and entertainment are inseparably linked – because the presentation of new products, talks, discussion forums and cultural programmes with performances by bands or DJs are held concurrently, giving participants the opportunity to immerse themselves quickly in very different worlds, and above all to get to know people on a different level – say when you meet your long-standing customer or business partner at a concert given by a band you wouldn’t have expected him to go to. Only business festivals offer this kind of networking.” Q: How would you characterise the EVO NXT Festival? AB: “The EVO NXT Festival is a ‘modern brand festival’ – the first of its kind in the NGP sector. This is because it’s much broader and more experiential than existing industry trade shows. That fits very well with the marketing concepts of next-generation products which, with their new messages and modern brand and product images, are aimed mainly at a young, hip, trendy and definitely health-conscious target group which, on top of that, is eager to consume and experience. We reflect that in our mix of information, inspiration and experience at EVO NXT.” Q: What still needs to be done before the event can get underway? AB: “In addition to the layout of the individual halls, which is progressing bit by bit with each additional booking, we’re currently working on our range of elevator pitches, keynote talks, best-practice demos and workshops. And we’re talking to a lot of artists whose services we want to secure for the ‘party’ content. Here, too, some discussions are already well advanced, and I’m confident we’ll be able to announce the first big names shortly. Once these items have been crossed off the list, it’ll be plain sailing all the way to the début.” |
