Caerphilly County Borough Council is reminding staff, residents and businesses that its festive foodbank appeal is still open for donations.

Foodbanks provide emergency food and support to families and individuals who find themselves in financial crisis. They rely heavily upon donations, particularly over Christmas, and have seen demand for their support increase amidst rising costs of living.

The Council is collecting cash donations as part of this year’s appeal to enable foodbanks to purchase the supplies they desperately need.

Donations can be made online, via the Council’s website at: Caerphilly – Caerphilly County Borough

The appeal will close for donations at midday on Friday 16th December.

For more information on local foodbanks contact the Council’s Caerphilly Cares team on 01443 811490, email caerphillycares@caerphilly.gov.uk or visit Caerphilly – Caerphilly County Borough
