In the run up to Christmas, Towergate Insurance Brokers’ Welsh office has donated to a number of local causes, helping spread festive cheer across the communities it works in.
With a regional presence in West Wales and Cardiff, Towergate has been fundraising for charity causes that play a vital role in their area.
In the west, Towergate has donated to the Torch Theatre’s Christmas Wishes Campaign, which sees donations cover the cost of pantomime tickets for families in need.
The Pembrokeshire theatre is working with a number of local charities to help share the tickets, including Action for Children, PATCH (Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardships), PAVs (Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services) and Calon Cymru.
Towergate supported the Christmas Wishes campaign in 2019, the last time the initiative took place due to the pandemic.
In Cardiff, the team organised a ‘give back week’, where they held a bake sale, raffle and games in the office raising over £600 for Cerebra, a national charity, based in Carmarthen, that helps children with brain conditions and their families.
Justin Newton, Area Managing Director at Towergate Insurance Brokers, said: “This Christmas, Towergate wanted to give back to our local community by fundraising for causes that aren’t always well known outside their local communities.
“With the rise in the cost of living having an impact on people across South Wales, we wanted to be able to help out in any way we could, and we hope our donations will give families a bit of a boost this festive season.”
