A new ranking has revealed which of the most popular gaming YouTubers made the most over the last year based on views – with SSSniperWolf named the highest-earning female.
The findings, pulled together by casino reviewer casinoalpha.co.nz, compared the views gained for each channel since December last year and applied the going rate for sponsored content on YouTube, to name the gamer that produced the most valuable content.
The calculations were based on the latest CPM (cost per thousand views) rates that advertisers currently pay for sponsored videos on YouTube – which, for the most popular channels, averages out at £6,40, or £0.0064 per view.
With an average of 40.6 million subscribers across the popular channels analyzed, it’s fair to say that each creator is popular within the gaming community, and earning the higher CPM.
With 4,874,198,607 views reported since last December, according to socialblade, SSSniperWolf made £31,158,939 – making her the highest-earning female gamer.
SSSniperWolf – real name Alla Marie – is known for her reaction videos, game commentaries and vlogs, moved from Liverpool to Phoenix, Arizona when she was young, and she started streaming on YouTube on June 4th 2014.
The most popular upload she released last year received 13 million views for 11 minutes of footage, equating to £83,104 in earnings for one video alone.
Her actual earnings from the platform could be even higher, as it doesn’t take into account any profit she’s made when collaborating with other creators on their channel – such as Dhar Mann – or any money she’s made from merch sales.
Overall, SSSniperWolf was the second highest-earning gaming YouTuber, with A4 topping the rich list with £45,163,750 resulting from 7,064,973,812 views last year.

Rounding out the top three highest-earners is Techno Gamerz, who saw 2.865 billion views come in last year – equivalent to £18.3 million.
Although he’s the most-subscribed gaming channel featured in the analysis (111 million) some may be surprised to see that PewDiePie only ranks tenth for 2022 earnings.
Fans may also be surprised to see that SSSniperWolf is the only female gamer in the top 10 list, proving a higher-earner last year than jacksepticeye, MrBeast and Markiplier combined.
Speaking on the findings, a casinoalpha.co.nz spokesperson said: “Many people have predicted the earnings of the most popular YouTubers, but it’s interesting to see how this translates to each channel’s output – especially in the highly-competitive gaming sphere.
“It’s encouraging to see female creators like SSSniperWolf making a name for herself on the platform, and we hope to see more diversity amongst the highest-earners and British content creators in 2023.”
