‘MIDNIGHT DRIVING’

2022 breakthrough act – TEENAGE DADS – have announced their highly anticipated upcoming EP ‘Midnight Driving’, to be released on Friday 3 March via Chugg Music. The new music arrives as the band prepare for a run of UK shows this Spring with Lime Cordiale (dates here).

The Australian four-piece also recently appeared on triple j‘s Like A Version, putting their own spin on The Buggles ’80s anthem “Video Killed The Radio Star” as well as performing an electrifying rendition of original track “Teddy“.

Featuring recent singles “Hey, Diego!, “Teddy” and “Exit Sign“, Teenage Dads’ upcoming ‘Midnight Driving EP also features three unreleased tracks that take a slight sonic detour from their distinctive upbeat, experimental sound and storylines, and instead take a slower, softer, more synth-heavy route.

Uncovering a side of their sound that is a little older and a little wiser, yet just as catchy and adventurous, the band explain that their forthcoming ‘Midnight Driving EP’ “… is about perspective. How things look from one point of view, and how they can change over time from another outlook. The songs feel like diary entries, documented internally, like conversations you have with yourself when you go Midnight Driving. A constant, internal form of therapy almost.”

Teenage Dads have little to prove about their ability to hold the attention of a crowd — following an extensive national tour across Australia and New Zealand this Spring, the band are showing no signs of slowing down and will also join homegrown favourites and good friends Lime Cordiale as special guests on their UK & Ireland tour. Kicking off on 16 May in Dublin, the tour will see stops in Liverpool, Bournemouth, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Newcastle and London. Full dates and details below.
